Edric (Dune)
Edric is a fictional character in the Dune universe created by Frank Herbert. He is a navigator of the Spacing Guild. In the novel Dune Messiah, Edric participates in the conspiracy to topple the rule of Paul Atreides; his presence is only required because it prevents Muad'Dib from seeing the conspirators in his prescience. Like all Guild navigators, his body is mutated due to heavy use of spice: he has webbed hands and feet, is distinctly fish-like in appearance, and must live in a tank of melange gas.
