Edward Carrington
Edward Carrington (1748–1810) was an American soldier and statesman from Virginia. He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Continental Army, serving as Quartermaster to General Nathanael Greene’s Southern campaign. He commanded artillery at the Battle of Hobkirk’s Hill and the Battle of Yorktown.
Virginia sent Carrington as a delegate to the Continental Congress from 1786 to 1788. He later served as foreman of the jury when Aaron Burr was tried for treason in 1807.
