Eglinton有awrence
Eglinton有awrence is a Canadian electoral district. It covers a portion of Toronto northwest of downtown. It stretches from Yonge Street in the east to Caledonia in the west and from Highway 401 in the north to Eglinton Avenue in the south. Lawrence Avenue runs through the centre of the riding.
The riding was created in 1976 from parts of Eglinton , St. Paul's, York Centre, York South, and York West. Federally it has been represented by Liberal Joe Volpe since 1988. Since it became a provincial riding in 1999 it has been represented by Liberal Mike Colle. On Toronto City Council the western half of the riding is represented by Howard Moscoe and the eastern portion by Karen Stintz.
