Eid festival
Eid is the name of two Islamic festivals:
- Eid ul-Fitr, marking the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan, held on the first day of Shawwal.
- Eid ul-Adha, commemorating the Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son to Allah, held on the tenth day of Hajj.
Eid is Arabic and means "festival" or "festivity". In Turkish, these feasts are called Bayram.
