El Nido, Palawan
El Nido, "the nest" in Spanish, is a municipality in the island province of Palawan in the Philippines. The municipality covers a north part of Palawan. The main industries of El Nido are fishing and tourism, being a popular diving location.
Two-time Emmy award-winning series The Amazing Race made Lagen Island, El Nido as the penultimate pit stop in its fifth installment aired September 2004, before the final leg which was won by married couple Chip and Kim.
