Empire State College

Empire State College is a multi-site college that offers higher education to students all over the State of New York as well as the rest of the world. The college offers very flexible programs, including distance education for traditional and non-traditional students.

The College is part of the State University of New York, and is primarily oriented towards the adult learner. All of the degrees offered by Empire State College are "student designed" as opposed to the more traditional cookbook degree programs. Empire State College allows for extensive transfers of credits from other universities, as well as knowledge gained through life experiences, standardized evaluations, and other approaches.

Degrees offered by the College range from certificates through Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degrees. The College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

The Center for Distance Learning is available for students throughout the world, who can earn degrees without any residency requirements.

Empire State College also has special programs for students in Israel and Cyprus, as well as concentrations in Fire Administration. It also has arranged learning opportunities with UAW-Ford, United Steelworkers of America, Corporate Noncredit Training, eArmyU, and Navy College Program.
