- Equus is Latin for Horse.

- Equus is a play by Peter Shaffer, later made into a movie.
- Equus is what Monty Roberts, a horse whisperer, called the body language of horses, that he discovered while studying wild mustangs in Nevada and uses in his gentle training methods for horses.
