Eric Miller Reeves is a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's sixteenth Senate district, including constituents in Wake county. An attorney from Raleigh, North Carolina, Reeves is currently (2003-2004 session) serving in his fourth term in the state Senate.

Reeves earned a bachelor's degree in history from Duke University in 1986 and a law degree from Wake Forest University in 1989. He practiced law in Raleigh and was elected to the Raleigh City Council in 1993. He was first elected to the State Senate in 1996 and served as co-chair of the Senate Information Technology Committee.
