Eucynodonts

Eucynodontia includes the most mammal-like of the "mammal-like reptiles" and all of their descendants (ie: mammals). The name means "true dog teeth". Eucynodonts are known from fossils of the Lower Triassic, though some specimens have been reported from the earlier Upper Permian.
