European Aviation Safety Agency
European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is an agency of the European Union which has been given specific regulatory and executive tasks in the field of aviation safety. It was formed in 2002, and is taking over much of the responsibilities of the Joint Aviation Authorities, and some of the responsibilities of the national Aviation Authorities, such as the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority.
