Exhaust system
The exhaust system refers to the mechanism which conveys the burnt gases from an internal combustion engine and typically includes a collection of pipes. In most automobiles a muffler is required to reduce noise emittion. A catalytic converter is also required in many countries to keep air pollution to a minimum.
