Extreme points of North America
This is a list of the extreme points of North America, the points that are farther north, south, east or west than any other location on the continent.
North America
- Northernmost Point — Kaffeklubben Island, Greenland (83°40'N)
- Southernmost Point — Cocos Island, Costa Rica (5°30'N)
- Westernmost Point — Attu Island, Alaska, United States (172°27'E) ¹
- Easternmost Point — Nordost Rundingen , Greenland (12°08'W) ²
North America (mainland)
- Northernmost Point — Murchison Promontory on Boothia Peninsula, Nunavut (71°58'N)
- Southernmost Point — Punta Mariato , Panama
- Westernmost Point — Cape Prince of Wales, Alaska, United States (168°05'W)
- Easternmost Point — Cape St Charles , Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada (55°38'W)
- ¹ According to the International Date Line.
- ² If Greenland is excluded then the easternmost point is — Cape Spear, Newfoundland, Canada (50°37'W).
