Extreme points of South America
This is a list of the extreme points of South America, the points that are farther north, south, east or west than any other location on the continent. The continent's southernmost point is often said to be Cape Horn, which is the southernmost point of the Chilean islands.
South America
- Northernmost Point — Punta Gallinas , Colombia
- Southernmost Point — Thule Island, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands
- Westernmost Point — Roca Redonda , Galápagos Islands, Ecuador
- Easternmost Point — Ilha da Rata , Fernando de Noronha, Brazil

- Northernmost Point — Punta Gallinas , Colombia
- Southernmost Point — Cape Froward, Chile (53°56'S)
- Westernmost Point — Punta Parinas , Ecuador
- Easternmost Point — Ponta do Seixas , Brazil (34°48'W)
