F-Zero
- This article is about the video game called F-Zero, the first game in the F-Zero series.
F-Zero is a racing game developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and released in 1991 in North America.
F-Zero was the first SNES title to use a technique that Nintendo called "Mode 7 Scrolling", a form of parallax scrolling, to simulate 3D environments. Such techniques in games were considered to be revolutionary in a time when most games were restricted to static/flat backgrounds and 2 dimensional (2D) objects.
