FC Unirea Tricolor Bucuresti was one of the forerunners of present day FC Dinamo Bucuresti. They were formed in 1926 as a result of the merger between FC Tricolor Bucuresti and CS Unirea Bucuresti . They won one Divizia "A" championship in the 1940-41 season, but unfortunately lost the Romanian FA Cup to FC Rapid Bucuresti, missing out on the "double". In the spring of 1948 the Romanian government re-organized the team (but kept the same players) as the B-team of the newly formed FC Dinamo Bucuresti and then re-located them to Braşov in 1949. Following the 1956 season they re-located again to Cluj, only to disappear after the 1957-58 season after being absorbed by Dinamo Bacau .
