The Cassart (D614) is an anti-air frigate of the French Marine Nationale, lead ship of the Cassard type. She is the 10th vessel of the French Navy named after the XVIIIth Century captain Jacques Cassard . She is the sister-ship of the Jean Bart.
The Cassart was fitted with a number of prototype equipements which were later incorporated in the La Fayette type frigates.
Note: The French navy doesn't use the term "destroyer" for its ships; thusly, some large ships, referred to as "frigates", are registered as destroyers.
