Comics
- V for Vendetta (1982): In this story set in 1997, a brief mention of Zara Phillips (who was born in 1981) as Queen is made.
Films
- King Ralph (1991): In this comedy, the entire Royal family, the Windoms, is electrocuted to death in a freak accident during a group photo attempt, when wiring for the camera is submerged in water. This left no known British heir. After tracing family trees, the American Ralph Jones is found to be next in line and is crowned King Ralph I. He later abdicates, leaving his private secretary, Sir Cendric Willingham, to ascend after it is discovered he is next in line for the crown.
