Air filter
(Redirected from Filter (air))
An air filter is a device which cleans dirty air. It is use in intakes in engines and most structures. Engin intakes tend to use either paper or foam filters, paper filters are primarily used by racers but tend to be more brittle. Building on the other hand use a denser foam in there air vents for cleaner air quality, this goes for planes and man made enviroments (ie satalites and space shuttles), for cleaner. Another, but not so often used method, is not-so often is using static fibers to catch small peices of particulate matter. These fibers are much like the ones on a swiffer dusting pad. This method is for a much smaller scale.
