Finale notation program
Finale is a scorewriter - a computer program for producing musical notation. Although it is probably the most widely-used scorewriter, it has been recently overtaken as the best-selling program by rival Sibelius. The current version of Finale is called Finale 2005. The Finale family of software, created by software company MakeMusic!, also includes Allegro (a stripped-down version of Finale), Finale Guitar (a version of Finale optimized for guitar notation), and Finale Notepad, which is a free version of Finale (heavily stripped of features, however).
Although Finale is very powerful, many people criticize it for being overly difficult to use.
