First grade
First grade is a year of education in the United States and other countries immediately following kindergarten. Students are 6-7 years old and it is a part of elementary school.
- In mathematics students learn primarily about addition and subtraction of whole numbers, as well as the first fractions and measurement. Geometry and graphing are also introduced for the first time.
