Flo (TV series)

Flo was an American situation comedy broadcast on CBS from March 24, 1980 to July 21, 1981.

It was a spinoff of the successful sitcom Alice, which was also broadcast on CBS. The show starred Polly Holliday as the wisecracking waitress Flo Castleberry, who abruptly left Mel's Diner in Phoenix, the setting of the original sitcom. On her way through her Texas hometown, the fictional Cowtown, Flo bought a roadhouse on impulse and named it Flo's Yellow Rose. The other regulars in the cast were Geoffrey Lewis as Earl Tucker, the roadhouse bartender, and Jim B. Baker as Farley Waters, the holder of the mortgage on the roadhouse, who often clashed with Flo.

The show was never a major ratings success and was cancelled by the network after one season.
