Flowery Field

Flowery Field is an area of Hyde in the English county of Greater Manchester. It is a mainly residential area once dominated by Ashton Brothers Textile Mill . The area is home to Flowery Field Cricket Club , one of the foremost amateur cricket clubs in Tameside. They were champions of the Saddleworth and District Cricket League in 2003 and are moving into the Lancashire County League for 2004. Their professional, for the 4th season, is Mohammed Asim . It was the original location of Flowery Field Infant School and Flowery Field Junior School, where Melvyn Bowler, the famous counsellor and therapist, received his early education.
