Fort Ridgely
Fort Ridgely was a U.S. Army station near the Daktoa reservation in South-Western Minnesota, in the region of New Ulm, Minnesota. Built in 1855, it gained fame in the 1862 Dakota War as a refuge for whites. After it was abandoned, the site was used by farmers. Today it is a state park, with a rebuilt Commissary Building memorializing the conflict.
