Fort Stedman

(Redirected from Fort Steadman)

Fort Stedman was part of the Union defensive line during the Siege of Petersburg in the American Civil War. It was attacked and temporarily captured by Confederate troops led by John Brown Gordon in the Battle of Fort Stedman on March 25, 1865.
