Francis Maude
The Right Honourable Francis Anthony Aylmer Maude (born July 4, 1953) is an British politician and Tory member of Parliament for Horsham, and a member of the Privy Council.
He was MP for North Warwickshire from 1983 to 1992, serving as a junior minister, but lost his seat. He was re-elected in 1997 to another seat, and has been Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Shadow Foreign Secretary. He is now a backbencher, and managed Michael Portillo's bid for the leadership of the Tory Party in 2001.
He is the son of Angus Maude, also a former Tory minister.
