Franz Anton Hoffmeister
Franz Anton Hoffmeister (May 12, 1754 – February 9, 1812) was an Austrian composer.
Born at Rothenburg-am-Neckar , he began a career in law, later switching to publishing. He was a prolific composer, who produced 66 symphonies and nine operas during his lifetime. Much of his work was written for the flute. He died in Vienna.
