From Russia With Love is a James Bond video game currently in development by Electronic Arts with a tentative release date of late 2005. The game will be based on the 1957 novel and the 1963 film From Russia With Love. The game will follow the storyline of the film closely including Sean Connery's likeness, but will also feature many elements of earlier Bond films to recreate the feel of the era.
Overview
The game will be penned by Bond veteran Bruce Feirstein. Feirstein previously worked on the film scripts for GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World Is Not Enough, as well as the script for the 2004 video game, Everything or Nothing.
It has been confirmed that Sean Connery, the first official actor to portray James Bond in the EON Productions film series, will return once again to the role of James Bond by recording all new voice work for the character. Additionally, the likeness of Bond will also be based on Connery's portrayal of the secret agent during the film From Russia With Love.
Other actors and their likeness from the film will be used including Daniela Bianchi as Tatiana Romanova and will also include notable characters from the film such as Kerim Bay. It is unknown at this time what additional characters may be added or if the voice work and likeness' of other original actors will be used for the game.
An early build of the game that was shown to the press had a scene that included Bond with the likeness of Pierce Brosnan. This has fueled some rumors that the game may support the option of choosing other actors (George Lazenby, Roger Moore, and Timothy Dalton) that have officially portrayed the role for the game.
