Frontier Field
Frontier Field is the baseball field where the Rochester Red Wings play. It was built in 1996 and seats 12,500.
The facility was originally built as a multipurpose facility and has hosted the Rochester Raging Rhinos A-League Soccer team as well as the Rochester Rattlers Major League Lacrosse team. In 2006, the Rattlers and Rhinos will move to the new PAETEC Park, and Frontier Field will be used exclusively for baseball.
Frontier Field is named for Frontier Communications , which is the primary telephone company in Rochester,New_York.
