Frou Frou

Frou Frou is a British musical group with two members, Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth . The two had been collaborating for years, but it took until 2002 for them to get on a music label when the duo's first album Details was released by MCA Records. The electro-pop group's music has drawn comparisons with that of Björk, and not without reason—Sigsworth has collaborated with Björk in the past. Heap is the primary vocalist for the group.

Sigsworth and Heap had first worked together to assemble "Getting Scared" on iMEGAPHONE , a 1998 release by Heap. Over time, Sigsworth collected more ideas for future collaboration, and the two first moved forward with Frou Frou when they worked on the Details track "Flicks".

The name "Frou Frou" comes from a Baudelaire poem, and is a French onomatopoeia of the swishing noise made by skirts on dancing women.

Both artists have collaborated with many other musicians over the years. Sigsworth had notably worked with Madonna on "What It Feels Like for a Girl". Heap and Sigsworth reportedly both have an appreciation for classical music.

In addition to Details, the group contributed "Holding out for a Hero" to the Shrek 2 soundtrack. "Must Be Dreaming" and "Breathe In" from Details have had music videos released, and "Let Go" was additionally released on the Garden State soundtrack.
