Full Gospel
Word of faith
The Full Gospel movement within Protestant Christianity places special emphasis on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and in that God wills for his children to be prosperous in all areas of their lives:
- Spiritual - John 3:3, 11; 2 Cor. 5:17-21; Romans 10: 9- 1 0.
- Mental - 2 Tim. 1:7; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3.
- Physical - Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matt. 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24.
- Financial - 3 John 1:2; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6-10; Deut. 28:1-14.
- Social - Proverbs 3:4.
During the emergence of Pentacostalism at the turn of the twentieth century, 'Gospel Tabernacle' was a term introduced by preacher and author Albert Benjamin Simpson, which eventually led to many Pentecostal churches becoming known as 'Full Gospel Tabernacles.'
