GEC-Marconi

GEC-Marconi was the defence arm of The General Electric Company plc (GEC). This became Marconi Electronic Systems in the 1990s and was sold to British Aerospace in 1999 forming BAE SYSTEMS.
While GEC-Marconi was responsible for the majority of GEC's defence sales other GEC companies achieved defence related sales, principally GEC Alsthom, GEC-Plessy Telecommunications (GPT) and GEC Plessey Semiconductors.
