Gaelic Games
(Redirected from Gaelic games)
Gaelic games are the native sports of Ireland: principally Hurling, Gaelic Football and Camogie. They are governed by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). They were brought into vogue during the Irish national revival of the pre-World War I period, and today enjoy a wide popularity in the Republic of Ireland. Their base of supporters in the North is mostly limited to the nationalist community.
