Garry Flitcroft
Garry Flitcroft (born December 6, 1972 in Bolton, England) is an English football player who currently plays for Blackburn Rovers F.C. as a midfielder.
Flitcroft's career started in 1991 for Manchester City F.C., for whom he had played for most of his career, albeit having a brief spell at Bury F.C. in March 1992. Before he joined Blackburn in March 1996, he played more than 150 games at Manchester City.
He is Blackburn's captain, and a very confident midfielder. During the 2001/2 season, however, he was unmasked in the newspapers as allegedly having had an extra-marital affair.
These false allegations did not halt his play, however, as he continued to make appearances for the club, his 250th coming during the 2003/04 season.
