Gary Russell
Gary Russell is an freelance writer and former child actor. As a writer, he is best known for his work in connection with the television series Doctor Who.
Russell was born in Maidenhead, Berkshire. His acting career ranged, on screen, from leading roles in the BBC's adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Phoenix and the Carpet and ITV's adaptations of Enid Blyton's Famous Five novels to a very minor walk-on role in the James Bond movie Octopussy. He also appeared on stage.
He was editor of Doctor Who Magazine during the early 1990s.
He is currently employed by Big Finish Productions' as a producer and director of licensed Doctor Who spin-offs.
He has written a number of Doctor Who spin-off novels, as well as the novelisation and the making-of book of the Doctor Who telemovie.
