Gas may refer to:

Generally, gas is one of the phases of matter.
In common use, natural gas is a mixture of about 80% methane, with varying proportions of ethane, propane and butane, used as a fuel.
Often, gas is Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG).
In US English, gas is short for gasoline
In anesthesia, laughing gas, or nitrous oxide, is often called gas.
