Genesis Rock
James Irwin and David Scott, both Apollo 15 astronauts, brought back with them this ancient piece of lunar crust. It was the prized trophy of the Apollo 15 mission. From being studied by geologists it has been determined that the rock is from the early time of the solar system. It was recovered in a crater of the moon, near other rocks of its kind.
