Geoffrey Ward
Geoffrey C. Ward is a screenwriter specializing in documentary presentations of American history.
He is best known for his work as screenwriter on mini-series since 1988 directed by Ken Burns, and as author of the companion books to them. This work won him four Emmy Awards.
He has been editor of American Heritage magazine.
His the books number thirteen books as of 2005. Among these, his 1989 A First-Class Temperament won two prizes, the National Critics Circle Award and the Francis Parkman Prize of the Society of American Historians.
He has in preparation, as of 2005, A Disposition to Be Rich .
