Geomancers (comics)

Geomancers are a group of fiction characters that appeared in every major title published by Valiant Comics. When the line was rebooted by Accaim Entertainment, they, unlike many other characters, didn't reappear in any incarnation.

Backstory:

Geomancers are an order of psionic men and women that existed for as long as manking walked the earth. Geomancers have an ability to pick psychic resodue and impressions from nearby objects and living organisms. They perceive those impressions as "whispers". Geomancers often act as keepers, collectors and preservers of information. On many occasions, they alerted other heroes of dangers they might not otherwise be aware of. Geomancers are very sensitive to changes in time-space continuim, which grants them a certain degree of precognition. They posess limited healing abilities. Unlike other psyonics, they cannot be psychically controlled or influenced.

In every generation, there are many people who have a potential to become Geomancers. However, there is usually only one Geomancer operating at the time. When that Geomancer died, his or her chosen successor takes his place.

Geomancers were instrumental in many pivital events in Valiant Universe, including Unity conflict, birth and upbringing of Magnus, Robot Fighter, struggle against Darque Power, the creation of Rai line, Harbinger Wars, etc. They have close ties with Gilad, the Eternal Warrior (who's been their steadfast ally for most of his life), Solar, Rai and the new generation of psionics known as Harbingers .
