George Khouri
George Elias Khouri is an Israeli terror victim, who was murdered on March 19 2004 while jogging in East-Jerusalem. He was an excelling student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The Al Aqsa Marytrs Brigade, the military branch of the Fatah movement, claimed responsibility.
After it became clear that the terror victim was an Arab Israeli - and not a Jewish Israeli - it apologized, and offered to declare him martyr for the Palestinian cause. George's father, the Israeli lawyer Elias Khouri, had previously represented the Palestinian Authority. This time, he refused to the Fatah's offer. He also received a phone call from at that time Fatah's leader, Yasser Arafat, who Elias Khouri knew professionally.
George's grandfather was also murdered in a Palestinian terror attack in Jerusalem, when a booby-trapped refrigerator exploded at Zion Square.
