Gerrie Knetemann
Gerrie Knetemann (March 6, 1951 in Bergen, North Holland – November 2, 2004 in Bergen) was a Dutch cyclist who won the 1978 World Championship.
Knetemann participated in eleven Tours de France between 1974 and 1987, winning a total of 10 stages therein. He won 130 races as a professional. In 1991, the Dutch national team named him as their selector.
Knetemann died of a heart attack while riding his bicycle with a group of friends in Bergen, the Netherlands.
