Ginger Snaps

Ginger Snaps is a 2000 Canadian horror film about two close teenage sisters (Ginger and Brigitte, played by Katharine Isabelle and Emily Perkins), who are obsessed with death.

The movie is followed by the 2004 movie Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed and a prequel named Ginger Snaps Back; the latter two were filmed back-to-back. The two sisters are "late bloomers" until one day in early October, when Ginger is attacked by a wild animal and subsequently begins growing hair in strange places and feeling strange new urges. Although their mother suspects that Ginger has finally hit puberty, she has actually been bitten by a werewolf. Her sister must try to save her before the transformation becomes complete at the end of the month.
