Gir Forest National Park
The Gir Forest National Park is best known as being the sole home of the Asiatic Lion. Established in 1884, it is located in the Junagadh district of Gujarat, India on 1412 kilometers2 of land. The reserve is on the Kathiawar Penisula about 65 kilometers south-east of Junagadah City.
