Glenn Shadix

American actor Glenn Shadix is perhaps best known for his role as Otho in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice and for his southern baritone voice. Born William Glenn Shadix on April 15 1952 in Bessemer, Alabama. He worked on Broadway for seventeen years prior to his film career. He is second cousin to fellow actor John Rothman.

He is frequently cast in Burton's films and is a personal friend of the film maker. He was reportedly offered his role in The Nightmare Before Christmas while swimming in Burton's backyard pool.

He underwent gastric bypass surgery in April 2000 and has since lost over one hundred pounds.
