God, the Omnipotent!

God, the Omnipotent! was a protest hymn written by two authors, Henry F. Chorley in 1842 and John Ellerton in 1870 and is sung to the tune of God Save the Tsar! by Alexei Fyodorovich Lvov. Two similar but different sets of lyrics have melded into the version of this hymn. This hymn is rarely used nowadays and has been forgotten and is a process lost to history.

The alternative tune for this hymn is Ultor Omnipotens by Arthur Sullivan.
