Godzilla: Final Wars (2004) is the 50th anniversary film in the Godzilla series of films.

Plot

About forty years ago, the Earth Defense Force finally defeated Godzilla by trapping him in the Antarctic ice, thus rendering him immobile. Some time later Godzilla is released to save the earth from alien invaders. Godzilla fights ten monsters around the world including Rodan, Gigan, Anguirus, King Caesar , Hedorah, Ebirah, Kumonga, Zilla (the American Godzilla, often referred to as GINO, or "Godzilla In Name Only"), Kamacuras and Monster X; a new monster that at the end of the movie becomes Keizer Ghidorah. The film also features Mothra, Minya and Manda , as monsters Godzilla doesn't fight, the Gotengo, a super ship that was featured in the 1963 film Atragon, Gorath, a runaway neutron star from the 1960s film of the same name, and the Aliens from Planet X whom control the monsters. There is also a lot of stock footage used in the opening from other various films such as Space Amoeba, Varan, Godzilla vs Megaguirus, and Godzilla vs King Ghidorah.

The cities in the film include Sydney, Tokyo, Tokai, New York, Okinawa, Shanghai,and Paris.
