Gorzów Wielkopolski
Gorzów Wielkopolski (abbrev. Gorzów Wlkp., pronounce: Gorzow Wielkopolski.ogg, German Landsberg an der Warthe) is a city in northwestern Poland, on the Warta river, with 126,000 inhabitants (1999). Since 1999, it is one of the two capitals of Lubusz Voivodship (the other is Zielona Góra), previously capital of Gorzów Voivodship (1975-1998).
Near Gorzów are located the biggest Polish oil fields, more than 210 milion barrels worth $8 bln at the current price.
