Gralik

Gralik is a fictional character who appeared in Star Trek: Enterprise.

Gralik Dur is an arboreal of the multi-race species Xindi. His grandfather lived on the Xindi homeworld before it was destroyed by the Xindi insectoids and reptilians. He lived in a place where the sky was filled with the, now extinct, Xindi avians.

For forty two years, Gralik was the chief technican of a facility that manufactured the multi-use compound kemocite. He often takes walks outside the settlement where the complex is located.

Circa 2150, the Xindi Council learned that humans were going to destroy them in the 26th century. Degra, a Xindi-primate, was assigned to construct a weapon to destroy Earth, the human homeworld. Because the weapon was to be powered by kemocite, Degra employed Gralik to produce a shipment of highly refined kemocite. Gralik and his colleagues accepted because the shipment would bring wealth to their colony.

Six monthes into production, Gralik and his staff prepared to produce the final shipment. At this time, the Earth starship Enterprise reached the planet, discovering that part of the Xindi weapon was being constructed here. Captain Archer, Lt. Reed, and Major Hayes entered the complex on a reconnaissance mission. They then captured Gralik in his home and interrogated him. Gralik realized that he provided the kemocite that was used in the probe that attacked Earth. He then helped Capt. Archer by giving him a vile of kemocite, which Archer's crew placed a radiolithic signiture in order to track it and find the Xindi weapon.

Degra and his team later used the kemocite shipment in their second weapon test in the Calindra system. Although the weapon nearly destroyed a moon, it became unstable because of Gralik's sabotage.
