Great Migration

- Great Migration is a term often used to describe the early medieval migrations of peoples in Europe.
- The Great Migration may refer to the Winthrop Fleet of 1630; wherein seven hundred passengers migrated from England to Massachusetts Bay Colony in eleven ships. It may also refer more generally to the Puritan migration of approximately 35,000 people from England to the Northeastern U.S. during the 1630s.
- The Great Migration was an important 20th century migration in African-American history.
