Gregory Abbott

Gregory Abbott (born 2 April 1954 in New York) is an American soul-musician (keys and drums), singer, composer and producer.

Abbott's parents came from Venezuela and Antigua. His mother gave him a first musical impulse by teaching piano. Before his career as musician Abbott studied psychology and taught English at the University of Berkeley. One of his first artistic appearances was a duet with Whitney Houston.

Gregory Abbott is married to the soul singer Freda Payne.
