Grodus

Grodus is the villain and leader of the X-Nauts in Paper Mario 2. He wants to obtain the Crystal stars and unleash the demon behind the thousand-year door, but lately his X-Nauts haven't been doing a very good job. He wears the traditional goggles, but sports a cloak and a massive head made of electronics. He also carries a magic scepter, which is his main form of attack in Mario's battle against him. Like most arch-villains, he plans to conquer the world. After Mario beats him in the Palace of Shadow, he reveals Peach but then Bowser crashes through the roof with Kammy Koopa and fights Mario. After that, Grodus escapes with Peach into the final room. When Mario gets there, Grodus unleashes the Shadow Queen, who posesses Peach. When Grodus tries to command the Shadow Queen, she destroys him. In the ending, he appears as the head alone. Little beyond that is currently known about this character, as he has only appeared in a single game.
